About Grindle's Landscaping

At first light in January the Union River steams below the falls and the brick storefronts along Ellsworth's Main Street stand black against a pale sky. Grindle's Landscaping is out well before that — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walks and entries, and sanding or salting the pitched drives that run down toward the water. Once the ice goes out, those same properties turn green in a hurry and the work becomes mowing, trimming, edging, mulch and bed care, with cleanups at either end of the season. Ellsworth is the crossroads for half of Hancock County, so the routes spread in every direction from the bridge. Service covers Ellsworth, Trenton, Surry, Lamoine, Hancock, Dedham and Blue Hill.
