Eddington keeps two calendars, and Tender Lawn Care works them both. In the green months it is mowing, trimming and edging, clearing the spring litter out of the grass and raking the leaves down flat in October. In the white months those same yards get plowed, the walks shoveled and the icy patches sanded before anyone has to step outside. There is something satisfying about knowing a property in both of its shapes — where the culvert hides in July, where the drift always builds in January. The land between Davis Pond and the river is quiet, and a place kept in good order suits it well.
