About Sons Of Thunder Tree & Excavation

Winter Down East arrives off the water, and in East Machias you can hear it in the river long before the first flake — tide running under ice, wind combing the blueberry barrens flat. Sons Of Thunder Tree & Excavation handles snow removal in that country: plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, sanding, and hauling banks back where the wind keeps refilling them. A coastal storm here can hand you eight inches of snow and then a night of salt-edged rain, and the second half is harder than the first. Working ahead of the freeze — getting a surface open before it locks up — is the whole art of it. By morning the barrens are white to the horizon and the driveways are black, which is exactly how it ought to look.
