About Norpine Landscape, Inc.

Out here the map stops printing town names and simply says East Central Franklin — unorganized territory in the Franklin County hills, where hardwood ridges outnumber mailboxes. Norpine Landscape, Inc. keeps the lawns that open up along these back roads: the clearing around a farmhouse, the green in front of a camp, the yard someone cut out of the woods. In late May the grass leaps the moment frost lets go of the ground, and the mower has to keep pace with the black flies and the lengthening days. There is real pride in a cut lawn meeting a wall of birch and maple in a line so straight it looks ruled. Where neighbors are spread thin, a kept yard is a quiet signal that someone is home and paying attention.
