About Qualey Land Services

Out along the Route 23 ridges north of Dexter the fields run open for a half mile at a stretch, and that is exactly where the wind builds its drifts. Qualey Land Services works those roads and dooryards all winter with plowing, sanding and snow hauling, cutting the banks back before they grow tall enough to blind a driver at the end of a lane. Country snow is a different animal than village snow — it travels sideways, it fills in behind you, it wants the whole job done twice. Doing it well means widening early, protecting the sightlines and leaving a turnaround a truck can actually use. Come thaw, the gravel is right where it was in October, which is the entire point.
