The Saco takes its slow turns along the edge of Dayton, brown with runoff in April and gin-clear by August. Boiling Spring Lanscape works the ground above those bends. Spring means raking out the winter and hauling brush, getting a lawn breathing again before the black flies arrive; summer means the steady weekly mow, the trim, the edge cut sharp along the walk. This is a town of open lots and long lawns with woods standing close behind them, so there is always more ground than anyone expects. Getting all of it cut, trimmed tight and left looking deliberate is the day's work, and it is a good one.
