About Maurice Soucy and Son's Lawncare

Chelsea sits on the high east bank of the Kennebec, Augusta's lights across the water and the pines out toward Togus running dark to the horizon. Maurice Soucy and Son's Lawncare keeps the growing season in hand here — mowing, trimming, edging along walks and drives, and hauling out the winter's leavings in April so the grass can get on with it. When river fog turns to hard frost, the same ground wants plowing: driveways cleared, steps shoveled, sand on the hill roads that ice up under the trees. Ridge lots above a river catch weather from both directions, which keeps the calendar full. Either way, a place cut sharp or opened wide is a place being looked after.
