Bluewater Tree Service

About Bluewater Tree Service

Charleston keeps its farms up on the height of land, and from the open fields the northwest sky holds Katahdin blue on a clear morning. Bluewater Tree Service works those ridge roads and dooryards: taking down a maple gone hollow at the butt, thinning a crown until light reaches the garden again, making the pruning cuts a young tree will grow around for decades. When wind crosses that unsheltered ground the calls turn to storm damage — limbs across the drive, a spruce leaning on the barn roof, brush to cut and carry off. It is satisfying work to leave behind: the yard opened up, the stone wall visible again, sawdust swept off the gravel. This is tree work for Charleston and the farm towns around it, done in the same weather everyone here is standing in.
