Bucksport's waterfront walkway follows the Penobscot right through downtown, and on winter nights the lights strung up the Narrows bridge stand over the ice like a lantern. Andy's Lawn & Landscape keeps the town in both directions from there. Summer is mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups on the yards climbing back from Main Street; winter is plowing, shoveling and sanding once river weather turns everything to glass. Tide and cold together make for a slick town, so walks get taken down to bare pavement rather than merely pushed. A neat lawn in July and an open drive in January are the same job, done at opposite ends of the year.
