Head south out of Brunswick and the land narrows into peninsulas, pines leaning over the road and the tide showing up at the end of half the driveways. Atlantic Lawn Care & Landscape works that ground both ways around the year — mowing and trimming the summer lawns out toward Mere Point and Simpson's Point, then clearing snow from those same long drives when the bay turns slate-colored and the wind comes across it unbroken. Salt fog and needle drop are the local complications in July; drifting is the one in January. Either way the aim is the same: an even surface, clear borders, and nothing in the way of getting to the road. It is satisfying work on a piece of coast that rewards paying attention.
