Polished Green Lawns

About Polished Green Lawns

Northern light lingers late in Brownville — nine o'clock in June and the Pleasant River is still holding a little silver. Polished Green Lawns mows through those long evenings, working yards in the village and out toward the Junction where the rails run north. Weekly mowing, string trimming, sharp edges along walks and drives, and cleanups in spring and fall when the ground allows. Slate country makes a stubborn lawn, thin over stone, so the deck rides high and the results come from showing up on schedule. A trimmed yard set against all that Piscataquis woods reads like a lamp left on.
