East Boothbay Landscaping spends it on fall cleanups, pulling leaves out of beds and off lawns, taking the grass down for winter so spring can start clean. Through the warm months it is mowing, trimming, edging and mulch, the return each week that keeps a shore property looking like somebody is home. Then the wind swings around to the northeast and the work turns to plowing driveways, clearing walks, and sanding the steep pitch so many houses here are built on. A cleared drive at daybreak in a village that has gone quiet for the winter is its own kind of good work.
