Out toward Spruce Point in January, half the houses are shuttered and the road belongs to the wind off the outer harbor. Palmer's Property Care, LLC plows those drives anyway — storm after storm, opening the pavement, clearing walks by hand, laying sand where ice sets up on a north-facing grade. Come May the same properties want mowing, trimming and a cleanup to get winter out of the beds, and the cut carries on week by week until the leaves come down. There is a quiet pleasure in arriving somewhere before anyone else does and leaving it looking as though the season never touched it. Deep winter or high summer, the standard is the same.
