The Kennebec makes a bend at Bingham, and for a few short months the riverbank and the village lawns go every shade of green there is. Foran's Lawncare works that stretch of the year — mowing, trimming, edging, and the cleanups that open the season and close it again. Up here the growing time is brief, so it gets used hard: cut, trimmed, raked and looking sharp from the road while the light lasts. Late June evenings hold on until nine, and a fresh-cut yard along the river is about as good as Maine gets. Bingham and the villages up and down the Kennebec.
