About Southern Maine Yard Pro

Down the brick-lined streets that fall toward the Saco River, past dooryards edged in old fieldstone and clapboard porches worn soft by the coast, Southern Maine Yard Pro works the yards of Biddeford. Through the warm months the crew mows and trims, spreads mulch and seeds the thin spots, rakes the beds clean in spring and again when the maples let go in fall, and sets stone into steps, walkways, landings, and patios that hold their line. There is a plain satisfaction in a walk pressure-washed back to its true color, a gutter run clear, a tidy course of crushed rock laid along a foundation. When the roofs above the mill-town hills load heavy with snow, they rake the eaves free before ice can dam and back up under the shingles. From the falls at the river's heart out to the beach roads and the neighboring streets of Saco, the season's work stays written on the land.
