About George O Hayes & Son Inc.

Bethel's growing season comes on fast and burns bright — the river meadows go green in a week, and by July everything wants cutting at once. George O Hayes & Son Inc. keeps lawns in hand through it: mowing on a schedule, trimming along fences and foundations, edging the walks, mulching the beds, and hauling the cleanup out in spring and again when the leaves turn the valley gold. Mountain-town yards come with slope, ledge and shade, and each one puts a different question to the mower. Getting a lawn even and edged in a place this short on summer feels like making the most of the light while it lasts. Bethel and its neighbors up and down the Androscoggin are all on the route.
