About P Y Estes & Son Inc.

The Saco runs along Baldwin's western edge, and the road that follows the water tells you the season well before the calendar does. P Y Estes & Son Inc. works both ends of that year: plowing, sanding and shoveling out dooryards when the storms come down through the notches, then mowing, trimming and edging once mud season finally lets go. Winter mornings begin in the dark and end with a driveway opened wide enough to back a truck out without thinking twice. Summer keeps a steadier rhythm — grass held even week to week, the trimmer around the mailbox and the foundation, clippings swept off the walk. Spring and fall bring the cleanups, the raking and hauling that bracket the whole thing. It is Baldwin work, on Baldwin roads, for the people who live at the end of them.
