About Yard Services

Snow reaches Woodbine sideways, sifting through the tree line above the river long before it touches the road. Yard Services waits on it, then goes: plowing driveways, cutting a path down the long ones, shoveling the front walk and the back steps, laying salt where a grade wants to send a car sliding. The work runs on storm time rather than clock time — start once it is deep enough to move, come back after the wind has filled the first pass in. There is real pride in a driveway opened before the school buses run, and in a bank of snow set where it will not melt back across the pavement. Out here that is the whole difference between a snowed-in morning and an ordinary one.
