About Beechfield Landscaping, Inc.

Out along the South Branch of the Patapsco, Woodbine takes its winter a little colder and a little longer than the counties downhill from it. Beechfield Landscaping, Inc. runs the plow on those nights — the long farm lanes off Route 94, the driveways that drop away from the road and glaze at the bottom, the walks that need shoveling and salt before anybody steps out. Most of it happens between two and six in the morning: headlights, a windrow, and the particular hush of snow still falling. Come daylight the point of it is plain, black asphalt and a clean apron at the garage, with salt down where the grade turns slick. Nobody has to think about how they got out, which is exactly the idea.
