The Lawn Shark

About The Lawn Shark

Two o'clock on a Westminster July afternoon: heat wobbling off the blacktop, cicadas winding up in the shade trees, and a mower working a front yard into clean parallel lines. The Lawn Shark likes that stripe. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups make up the summer trade — grass held at a height that survives the heat, borders cut crisp where lawn gives way to walk. When the year flips, so do the tools: plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and steps, salting the ice that lingers on the north side of a house where the sun never reaches. Same appetite, different weather — and in January the work tends to be finished before most of the street has found its coffee.
