About Barrick & Sons LLC

Four in the morning on Woodsboro Pike, and the fields on either side are one unbroken sheet of blue-white. Barrick & Sons LLC is already out in it, working the farm lanes and long country driveways north of Walkersville where a storm can leave a quarter mile of snow between a house and the road. The blade goes down, the banks get pushed back wide so the next storm has somewhere to go, and the walks and steps come clear by hand. Salt follows on the shaded stretches near Glade Creek, where ice holds long after the sun is up. The reward is simple and worth getting up for: headlights on bare asphalt, and somebody making it to work on time.
