About Landscaping by Martin, Inc.

Bennett Creek runs low and clear through October, and the maples along the bottomland turn all at once — which means the leaves come down all at once too. Landscaping by Martin, Inc. meets that stretch of the year head-on in Urbana, mowing through the last flush of fall growth and then clearing yards of leaf litter until the turf can breathe and the beds show their outlines again. The final cut of the season is a quiet little ceremony: grass taken low and even, the lines still visible from the porch at dusk. Between the creek bottoms and the ridge farms no two properties here are shaped alike, so the trimming and the cleanup follow the ground rather than a formula. Come spring the same lawns wake up thick, and the round begins over.
