About 4A Contracting

Winter arrives in Urbana the way the traffic does — early, and all at once, along the Pike. 4A Contracting works the dark hours, when MD-355 is a strung line of streetlights and the county is still asleep under four fresh inches. Blades drop, plows run, and driveways and lots come back one pass at a time, salt laid down behind them so the first car of the morning never has to think about it. There is a particular pride in the edge a plow leaves: straight, squared to the curb, the asphalt showing black by sunrise. This is snow removal shaped around a town that has to be somewhere by seven.
