About Desper & Son's Ground FX Lawn & Landscaping

Along Croom Road the old tobacco barns still lean into the wind, gray boards and open slats, reminders that this corner of Maryland has always been ground that gets worked. Desper & Son's Ground FX Lawn & Landscaping carries a little of that inheritance: mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups when the fields are green, plowing, shoveling and salting when the road turns white. Winter storms come up the Patuxent valley fast, and there is real satisfaction in beating one — drive scraped to pavement, walk cleared and treated, everything open before the first alarm clock rings. In summer the reward is quieter but no less earned, a lawn edged so tightly you could set a level on it. Father-and-son work has a rhythm to it, and this is what ours sounds like.
