Young’s lawns & landscapes

About Young’s lawns & landscapes

March in this corner of Frederick County cannot make up its mind — a warm rain that greens the pastures toward Rocky Ridge, then a wet snow off the Blue Ridge two days later that has to be pushed before daylight. Young's lawns & landscapes is set up for both ends of it: plowing and shoveling with salt for the ice, then mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups once the ground firms up. The driveways between Thurmont and Emmitsburg run long and often uphill, which is the whole difference between a drive that is cleared and one that is merely disturbed. By May those same properties want an even cut and borders held tight instead. Working a place through both extremes is how you come to know every dip and culvert in it.
