About A Cut Above Services

Morning comes late to the hollows around Street, held back by the hills until it spills all at once over the pasture fence. That is when A Cut Above Services is already out with the mowers, working yards that sit between stone barns and hedgerows in northern Harford County, where a lawn has to meet a hayfield somewhere and the line between them is somebody's decision. They make that line honest — mowed even, trimmed close to the post and the porch step, the clippings swept off the walk before the truck moves on. Deer Creek runs its cold water not far off, and spring here arrives green and fast and does not wait for anyone. Keeping up with it is the whole trade, and there is pride in a place that looks tended every week rather than rescued twice a year.
