About Landscape Artistry

In March the ospreys return to the pilings off Terrapin Nature Park, and the marsh grass goes from straw to a first green that nobody quite catches happening. Landscape Artistry works toward that same turn — spring cleanups, mulch, bed shaping and the season's opening cuts, then mowing, edging and trimming straight on through the summer. When the year swings back the other way there is snow to plow, drives to open, walks to salt against the freeze that follows a bay wind in. Shaping ground is slow work that shows up later, in the line of a bed or the way a lawn meets a walkway. The island rewards patience, and so does grass.
