About Scapers Landscape Services, Inc.

There is a particular hush over Silver Spring at three in the morning during a snowstorm — the Beltway gone soft and slow overhead, Georgia Avenue a white ramp with nothing on it, plow lights swinging across the fronts of sleeping houses. Scapers Landscape Services, Inc. works that hour on purpose. Driveways get pushed while the snow is still light, walkways and steps get cleared to the surface, lots get opened before the first car turns in, and salt goes down where the melt would refreeze by daybreak. Storms in this part of Maryland rarely stay one thing for long; they slide from powder to sleet to a crust you have to break, so a route gets run more than once. Then morning comes, and somebody backs out of an open driveway without ever knowing what the night looked like.
