About Metallurgy Landscaping

The town was named for a spring whose water threw back flecks of mica in the sun, and a name like Metallurgy Landscaping seems to know it. The work is lawns: mowing straight passes across a slope, trimming out the corners a deck cannot reach, and edging until the boundary between turf and pavement is a single unbroken line. August evenings in Silver Spring come in warm and heavy, the light going bronze through the oaks, and a lawn cut that day holds the stripe like brushed metal. Spring and fall bring the cleanups and the leaf hauling that keep the grass breathing. Small work, done to a finish — and a yard that shows it from the curb.
