About Baumanns Lawn & Landscape Inc

Autumn lands in Woodside Park all at once: one cold night, and the big oaks along Dale Drive let go and bury the slate walks and hedge lines under a foot of copper. Baumanns Lawn & Landscape Inc works the season out of a yard and back into shape, cutting late into the fall while the turf still wants it and clearing off what the trees keep dropping. Then the light goes short, the Beltway hisses with cold rain, and the same crews are out with plows and shovels the first morning it turns over. Silver Spring winters are moody — glaze one week, bare grass the next — so the job is really about being ready for either. By March the lawn under all of it is still there, which is the entire point.
