A year of work in Severn is really two years, and Arp Contracting keeps a foot in both. From the first cut in April to the last leaf haul in November, it is mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups across the neighborhoods spread between MD-32 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Then the light goes thin, the ground turns iron-hard, and the same trucks come back wearing plows and spreaders to open driveways and salt walks before the county is awake. Nothing about Anne Arundel weather commits to a plan — a February that hands over eight inches, a March that hands over daffodils — so the answer is to be ready for whichever one shows up at the door.
