About JC Lawn and Landscape, LLC

Route 40 runs through Rosedale as Pulaski Highway and it never really sleeps, so when the snow comes down somebody has to be up with it. JC Lawn and Landscape runs plows and shovels through those hours, opening driveways, clearing sidewalks and salting the ice that forms behind the plow's own passing. Baltimore's east side catches storms that arrive sideways off the flat land, dropping four inches and then glazing over by three in the morning. There is a strange calm in the middle of it: amber highway light on new snow, an engine idling, one house finished and the next one started. Daylight finds the block passable and the coffee finally warm.
