About Rising Phoenix Contracting Llc
The woods of Rosaryville State Park hold winter longer than the road does, oak and hickory keeping the cold in their shade while the open ground gives it up by noon. Rising Phoenix Contracting works those Prince George's County lanes when a storm crosses in off the Patuxent, clearing driveways and lots with plow and shovel and salting behind the blade. Most of it happens between midnight and dawn, headlights swinging across a stand of trees, the scrape of steel the only sound for a quarter mile. By the time the first cars head for Upper Marlboro the drives are down to pavement and the walks are scraped to the concrete. It is unglamorous work, and it is exactly the thing a neighborhood needs at six in the morning.
