About XL Service LLC

Snow in Rockville tends to announce itself around ten at night, and by two the town is a different place — lots erased, the ramps off Gude Drive gone soft and unmarked. XL Service LLC works those hours: plowing lots and driveways, shoveling walks and steps, spreading salt so the first commuter heading down to the Metro platform at five finds pavement instead of guesswork. Mid-Atlantic winters are unruly, a foot one year and three glassy inches the next, so the job is as much about reading the forecast as running the blade. The truest measure of a night is silence — nobody calls, because everybody got out. Come morning the plow lines are straight, the walks are dry, and the day starts on time.
