About Vigil Landscaping & Contractors Inc

Snow in Aspen Hill rarely announces itself politely — it slides up from the south on a gray afternoon, turns to sleet over Connecticut Avenue, then freezes hard overnight. That in-between weather, half snow and half ice, is exactly what Vigil Landscaping & Contractors Inc is built for. While the plows work the big commuter roads, their crews take on what the county trucks never touch: the driveways, parking lots, and walkways of the neighborhoods around Aspen Hill Road, scraped down to pavement and treated before the morning refreeze. There is a particular satisfaction in it — headlights sweeping across a lot at 5 a.m., every space cleared, salt already down, the day handed back to the people who need to get to work. When a Mid-Atlantic storm finally blows out and the sky goes sharp and blue, the cleared black asphalt against white snowbanks is its own kind of finished job.
