About Js GardenFarms
Snow doesn't visit this stretch of the Potomac often, and when it does it arrives wet, heavy and serious — the kind that bends the pines and stops a county that rarely needs to think about plows. Js GardenFarms is out in it, opening driveways and long rural approaches around Riverside, shoveling walks and steps, and getting salt down before the slush of an afternoon thaw locks into ice overnight. Tidewater storms like to end as rain and then drop below freezing by dawn, which is exactly when a cleared drive proves its worth. Repeat passes go where the wind and the shade conspire to undo the first one. Rare weather, handled properly, so a household barely loses a day to it.
