About Birchwood Lawncare Inc

By late October the tulip poplars along the Quince Orchard roads let go all at once, and North Potomac spends a few weeks the color of old brass. Birchwood Lawncare Inc keeps lawns fed and cut through that turn — mowing while the grass still pushes, then fertilizing and clearing leaf drifts before the cold locks them in place. Cool-season turf does its best growing here in the shortening light, and a lawn treated well in November is the one that greens first in March. The crew likes the low afternoon sun on a freshly cut yard, every blade standing the same height, the beds swept clean to the edge. It is unglamorous work, done well, on streets where the trees are older than the houses.
