About Catemu

June mornings on Sillery Bay come with the dew still heavy and the water lying flat as a plate. Catemu is out in it, mowing Pasadena lawns in long clean passes, running the trimmer close along fences and foundations, keeping yards tidy through the growing months. Grass here runs hard from April into October, fed by Chesapeake humidity and long afternoons, so the rhythm is steady rather than heroic — come back, cut it right, leave the rows straight. There is real pleasure in a yard just finished: the cut still bright, clippings swept off the walk, the whole place smelling green.
