Roman’s Landscaping

About Roman’s Landscaping

A Maryland snow rarely announces itself politely: it stacks up overnight, and by four in the morning Putty Hill Avenue is one long white ribbon with the driveways buried on either side of it. Roman's Landscaping is out in the dark of that hour, plowing, shoveling and salting, so a driveway stands open and gritted before anybody upstairs has thought about the commute. Nobody watches the work being done; everybody feels it at seven, backing out onto bare pavement. Then the year turns, the yards off Taylor Avenue green up fast in April, and the same hands come back with the mower — cutting, trimming, edging, and the cleanups that bracket the growing months. Two halves of one calendar, both of them worth doing properly, both of them measured by what a place looks like when the work is finished.
