About Suburban Lawn Care Service LLC

Late May in Oxon Hill: the tulip poplars have finished flowering, the evenings stretch out long, and the grass puts on an inch between visits. Suburban Lawn Care Service LLC keeps the yards out toward Oxon Cove and the old manor grounds in trim — mown, edged, the borders held to a line you could follow with your eye. The work is weekly and unglamorous and it shows anyway: a lawn cut at the right height so it keeps its color through the July heat, tidy from the curb without anyone having to say why. At dusk the fireflies come up out of a well-kept yard as though it were made for them. That is the reward here — one stretch of green that makes a whole block feel settled.
