About Ranger Lawn Care, LLC

Oldtown lies low along the Potomac with Warrior Mountain standing over it, and river fog holds in the bottomland until the sun clears the ridge. Ranger Lawn Care, LLC works those valley yards and mountain-shouldered properties — mowing and trimming, edging along walks and drives, mulch and bed work, seeding, feeding, and clearing the leaves that come down hard off the Allegany hardwoods each October. Ground out here is never quite flat; a lawn runs toward the old canal towpath or tips off toward Town Creek, and cutting it well means knowing which way the slope falls. There is real pleasure in the finished pass — turf even, borders cut sharp, the mower shut off, and the only sound left is water moving downriver toward Paw Paw. A tended yard in a narrow valley can be read from a long way off.
