Werner Lawn and Garden

About Werner Lawn and Garden

Ocean Pines runs on a two-season rhythm, and Werner Lawn and Garden keeps time with both halves of it. From April onward the work is mowing, trimming and edging — lawns out along the fairway edges and around Bainbridge Pond coaxed back to green after a winter of salt wind. Then the light shortens, geese come down over the water, and the same trucks return with plows, shovels and spreaders for driveways, walks and lots. Grass and snow are opposite jobs that reward the identical thing: showing up on the right morning, at the right hour, and finishing the corners. A yard cut clean in August and a drive opened before first light in January are the same promise kept twice. Between the pines and the tidewater, that is the whole year.
