JT Lawn Care

About JT Lawn Care

Ospreys come back to the Lower Shore each March, and by the time their nests are full of hungry chicks the grass in Mount Vernon is growing in earnest. JT Lawn Care keeps pace with it, mowing yards along the quiet country roads of Somerset County as the warm, humid months push new growth week after week. The aim is plain and satisfying: a uniform height across the whole lawn, stray tufts trimmed away from tree trunks and mailbox posts, and a clean line where turf gives way to gravel. When an August thunderstorm sweeps across from Tangier Sound and moves on, the grass leaps, and a yard that is mowed regularly stays tidy instead of running wild. It is patient work beneath a wide Eastern Shore horizon, and a fresh cut can be seen a long way off across that flat land.
