Van Lowe Lawn Care

About Van Lowe Lawn Care

October runs late on the western slope, where the ground tips off toward Linganore Creek and the oaks hold their leaves longer than they have any right to. Van Lowe Lawn Care spends those weeks mowing a notch lower each pass and pulling the fallen leaf cover off the turf so the grass can breathe its way into the cold. Then one morning the flurries come sideways over the open ground west of Mount Airy, the mowers go in the shed, and out come the plow blade, the shovel and the salt for the walks. A drive opened wide enough to back out of without a second thought is the measure of a good winter morning. Under all of it, the lawn is waiting to start over.
