About Ross Contracting Inc

Storms sort themselves out along Ridge Road. Down at the foot of the hill a night can be nothing but rain, while up here near eight hundred feet it comes down as snow and stacks on Mount Airy while the lowlands stay dark and wet. Ross Contracting Inc works the small hours of those nights, plow down, lot after lot and drive after drive, headlights making a tunnel out of the falling flakes. By the time the sky turns gray behind the ridge the pavement is black again and the walks are salted and passable. That is the whole aim of it: somebody leaves for work on time and never learns how much snow was there.
