About Garner Exteriors

Coal once left the Georges Creek valley by the trainload, and Midlothian still wears the look of those mining days, its modest homes strung along Route 36 with the mountain rising close behind. Garner Exteriors keeps lawns here in the high country of Allegany County, where spring is slow to commit and then turns the hillsides green almost overnight. Yards in this valley often tilt and roll, so the mowing takes a steady hand, and the trimmer works tight around foundation stones, porch steps and fence posts. The finishing touch is a clean edge where grass meets road, the kind of line that makes a home look tended and proud. On a cool July evening, with the last light sliding down the ridge, a freshly cut Midlothian yard is a welcome sight when the workday is over.
