The Greener Side

About The Greener Side

Martin's Additions is a small village of leafy streets just off Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase, where porches and gabled houses rest beneath a deep canopy of old trees. In spring the azaleas flare pink and red along the front walks, and the lawns beneath those big shade trees need real attention to stay green. The Greener Side does lawn care here, mowing, trimming and edging the compact front yards and back gardens that give the village its gentle, settled feel. Close to the city yet as calm as a country lane on a Sunday morning, it is a place where a sharp line along the sidewalk really shows. The reward is a whole street that feels tended, house after house, beneath the trees.
