About Palmer Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC

By late October the farm lanes around Manchester are ankle-deep in maple and oak, and the small streams that begin in these hills run clear and cold on their way north into Pennsylvania. Palmer Landscaping and Lawn Care, LLC works that turn of the calendar — the last mowings kept tidy, leaves raked and carried off the grass, edges and beds put in order before the ground hardens. Then the weather changes its mind, as it does at this elevation, and the job becomes plowing and salting: drives opened, walkways cleared, the long shared lanes made passable again. Spring brings them back to the mower with the grass coming in thick and dark green along the fencerows. Ground this open to the sky asks for both halves of the year, and gets both.
