Silvestre Lawn Care

About Silvestre Lawn Care

There is an hour after a summer rain when Laurel smells like cut grass and wet asphalt at once, steam lifting off Sixth Street and the cicadas cranking back up. Silvestre Lawn Care waits for the turf to dry just enough, then goes to it — mowing, running the string trimmer down the fence lines, edging where sod has crept over the walk. Grass grows quickly in this river-valley humidity, and steady weekly cuts beat any amount of catching up later. Clippings come off the sidewalk and the driveway before the crew moves on. Small courtesies, repeated, are what a well-kept block is actually made of.
