Saturday morning at Granville Gude Park, the geese are already loud on Laurel Lakes and half the town is out walking the loop. JoJoMow starts earlier than that. Mowing, trimming and edging get done while the dew is still heavy and the air has not turned sticky — grass cut cool holds its color better through the afternoon. Around the lake neighborhoods and back toward Fourth Street, the routine repeats itself: straight lines, tight corners, everything blown clean off the walk. By the time the coffee crowd fills the parking lot, the yards are finished and the day belongs to whoever lives there.
